Other Rates - Billed in 30min. increments unless otherwise specified on this site or in writting.


  • PC Repair Rate: $60/hr (max charge $180 total for labor.)

  • On-Site Rate: $75.00 for first hour, $60/hr each after (max charge $300 for labor.)
    *Excludes networking and structured cabling.

  • Premium Rate (Weekends, After Hours): Rate + ½ (max charge - $270 / max charge on site - $450)

  • Phone Support: $10/15minutes

Charges & Services


Discounts - Gurumypc.com will assess a discount for On-Site services where (5) Five or more computers are receiving service. Contact Gurumypc.com for details and estimates

Hourly repairs - In the rare occurrence that Gurumypc.com can't fix it or its un-reparable we offer 50% labor discount and charge no more than 2hrs.

Phone support - Credit Card, Name, Address, and Phone information are collected and processed through PayPal following resolution of the problem. If problem is not resolved fees are waived less $10. If it is determined that further action is needed and you elect to have Gurumypc, LLC perform the repairs, the total cost of the call less $10 will be applied to the repair. (ie. If after 30min we determine you need a new video card, let us install it for you and we will credit all but $10 toward the installation of the video card.)

Diagnostic - Rate is deducted from total repair cost if you authorize the repair.

Hardware Installation - Excludes Laptops with the exception of system Memory, Hard Drives, and Display Screens. Does not include the cost of replacement hardware.

Software Installation Excludes Operating Systems. Some Productivity Software titles may cost more. Does not include the cost of software.

Virus/Spyware Removal - Price is $69 unless more services are required, many viruses effect the registry and startup items as well in which case we will recommend the Tune-up service at no additional cost and includes both the Virus/Spyware Removal + Maintenance and Optimization..

Network Installation - Wireless network for internet sharing with two pc’s, includes security setup and file/printer sharing –up to 2hrs- Additional pc’s $25ea. Does not include equipment of accessories (ie. Modem, Network cards.) Wired network installation available call or submit an e-ticket for a free custom quote.

Modem Setup - Falls under the category of Peripheral Setup & includes installation of support software, establishing connection to an existing internet service, and connecting one PC through the modem to the existing internet service. Does not include cables, accessories, or equipment (ie. Modem, Network Cards, LAN cables.)

Network Troubleshooting - Does not include any equipment or accessories determined to be needed to resolve connection issues, a repair quote will be provided at no additional cost.

Peripheral Setup - Does not include any peripherals, devices, or cables.

OS Service/Boot Up Problems - All attempts will be made to save personal documents, email, pictures, and music. You should provide original software disk that was included with your PC upon purchase. Cost of file recovery and backup is not included.

Restore Windows OS - All attempts will be made to save personal documents, email, pictures, and music. You should provide original software disk that was included with your PC upon purchase. Cost of file recovery and backup is not included.

Install or Re-Install Windows OS - Does not include Windows OS.

Windows OS Upgrade - You should provide original software disk that was included with your PC upon purchase. Does not include Upgrade Software.

Full PC Service
- Our most common service and best value for a one time fix. Includes Virus removal, spyware/malware removal ‘and installation of free anti-spyware,’ HD defrag, HD cleanup, OS Updates, Removal of un-needed programs & startup items, registry cleanup & repair, disk & memory testing, cleaning the inside of the pc ‘excluding laptops.’ Computer Tune-Ups generally must be run at our location due to the time required to run certain scans and perform optimization. Tune-Ups generally require that we have the computer for 12-24 hours. When finished, We will notify you for pick-up.

Based on our experience, a proper computer tune-up can take many hours to complete given the time it takes for utilities to run their tasks, rebooting, and testing. However, we have still provided a flat rate service fee to perform a quality Tune-Up at your location.

Monthly Service Plans & MSP+OL - Our most valuable service and best value of all our services. Includes everything offered in the "Full PC Service" as listed above but on a monthly schedule. Its our amazing technology that makes this service possible. You establish a connection once for set-up of the service and agree to allow us to place a virtual link on your PC using "Jump" technology. This link allows us to perform your monthly maintenance without inconveniencing you again! All you have to do is make sure your PC is powered on and connected to the internet via a highspeed internet connection during the scheduled period of service. Optionally you may add Unlimited On-Line Remote Support which works kind of like having your own Guru or IT Support Team on retainer! Next time you need one of our on-line services you just connect and we fix it at no additional charge. Service is subject to the following Terms & Conditions in conjunction with Gurumypc.com applicable Guru Services Terms and Conditions and the Gurumypc.com Payment Policy. The same gurumypc.com On-line Remote Support Privacy Policy applies. Each of these Terms, Conditions, and Policies can be found on www.gurumypc.com under the 'About" link.

1. Monthly Service Plan Services: MSP services may be offered to you via the Internet or On-Location if your computer was built within the last four years, you have a working cable or DSL high speed Internet connection, and your operating system is Microsoft Windows 95 or newer. If you elect to receive remote support, then a specially trained and certified Gurumypc.com 'Guru' remotely logs on through your high-speed Internet connection to view your computer desktop to conduct your scheduled services. Remote support may involve the installation of software on your computer that will allow Gurumypc.com to provide the remote support services. By electing to receive remote support, you agree to allow the Gurumypc.com 'Guru' to use whatever tools deemed necessary to repair your computer and to conduct the agreed upon scheduled services, including remote access. You understand that if remote access is used on your computer there will be no residual software from the remote session; however, there may be a text or PDF file placed on your computer that will explain the work that was done on your computer. If such a text or PDF file is placed on your computer, you have the option to either save the file for future reference or to delete it from your computer.
(a) Your Responsibility: You understand and agree that prior to allowing Gurumypc.com to perform diagnostic repair or scheduled services on your computer each month, it is your responsibility to back-up the data, software, information or other files stored on your computer disks and/or drives. You acknowledge and agree that Gurumypc.com shall not be responsible under any circumstance for any loss or corruption of data and/or software. (It is important to note that rarely is data lost as a result of scheduled services, typically when data is lost it is because the data has become infected with Viruses and or Spyware.)
(b) FORCE MAJEURE: If Gurumypc.com's ability to render remote services is impaired by you or circumstances beyond the control of Gurumypc.com, Gurumypc.com may choose not to provide or to discontinue remote services under the MSP. Charges will still be incurred, if for any reason you foresee an issue or concern with your regularly scheduled service dates or times you should notify Gurumypc.com immediately via E-ticket to arrange a change in your scheduled service date and time as applicable.
(c) LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: To the extent permitted by law, you agree that Gurumypc.com's total liability for damages related to its services and or remote services is limited to the total amount you pay for the services and or remote services, and you release Gurumypc.com, its gurus, owners, partners, and affiliates from liability for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. GURUMYPC.COM IS NOT LIABLE FOR LOSS, ALTERATION, OR CORRUPTION OF ANY DATA OR FOR YOUR INABILITY TO USE YOUR COMPUTER EQUIPMENT OR OTHER PRODUCT.
(d) SERVICE WARRANTY If you are not satisfied with the services and or remote services received from Gurumypc.com please contact service@gurumypc.com for resolution. We warrant our services and or remote services for 30 days following the date you received service; however, for repairs necessitated by a virus or spyware, the service warranty is valid only if the anti-virus and anti-spyware protection for your product is installed or updated during the repair. If there is a problem with the service provided by Gurumypc.com and if you notify us within the warranty period, we will work to remedy your problem quickly and at no additional cost.
(e) PRIVACY POLICY For information about the collection and use of your information, please refer to the Gurumypc.com Privacy Policy, which is available at www.gurumypc.com or by contacting Gurumypc.com by sending your request to service@gurumypc.com.
(f) MONTHLY INVESTMENT Service charges are billed quarterly in advance for each PC enrolled in the MSP and MSP+OL. No Additional or hidden fees apply. On-Location services incur applicable Federal, State, and Local taxes. Additional repairs may be required that are not covered within the scope of the MSP and MSP+OL Services. Optionaly quarterly billing can be waived and instead you may be eligible to remit payment monthly by requesting an MSP Service Contract. (g) LIMITATION OF SERVICES MSP's do not cover Hardware, Hardware replacement or repair, new or additional software titles, modems, routers, cables, internet service, monitors, or other computer components. The limitation of Services covered by MSP's and MSP+OL Services is contained to those flat-rate services that are On-Line applicable and listed at www.gurumypc.com/computers.html and exclude "Guru Training." PDA's and Smartphones are not eligible for this Service.

(1) Virus & Spyware Removal If a customer has a computer that is covered by the MSP+OL, they may at anytime request applicable Guru Services. Since each computer covered by an MSP+OL receives monthly "Full PC Service" which includes Virus & Spyware Removal, if the customer requests a Virus or Spyware Removal service between periods of scheduled service and that service is executed, this unscheduled service will count in lieu of the following month's scheduled service. (i.e. Customer scheduled service date is the 1st of every month, on 15, April customer requests online Virus services due to koobface worm contraction. A Guru executes the service requested on 15, April and eliminates all threats. The Customers next scheduled service would have been 1, May but since an additional Virus or Spyware related service was performed on the 15th it counts in lieu of the 1, May service. All other services as applicable and listed below do not effect the normally scheduled maintenance, therefore in the same example as above if this Customer needs assistance with any of the other services listed below not being Virus or Spyware related the customer is eligible to receive those services with no effect on the normally scheduled service. The execution of this policy is intended to control consumer costs while still providing the most viable services. Since most Virus & Spyware Services range up to 3 or 4 hours multiple requests per month per PC would cause costs to exceed budget. It is important to note that your PC(s) that are enrolled in the MSP or MSP+OL will rarely go more than 28-32 days without a thorough cleaning and service, therefore it should only be in extreme cases that you would need to request a virus related service outside of the normally scheduled maintenance. Remember Diagnostic is covered in the MSP+OL service so at anytime if you suspect a dangerous virus or are experiencing an issue that causes concern you are encouraged to either submit an E-ticket or Connect via a live session to chat with a Guru. Operational hours may apply. Consulting with a Guru is only intended to offer you an opinion based on Guru experience, it is at your sole discretion to decide if services are performed or delayed until the normally scheduled service. By using this service you acknowledge these terms and agree to hold Gurumypc.com, its Gurus, owners, employees, partners, and affiliates harmless in acceptance of feedback and or opinion regarding your questions and or concerns as they relate to this service and the above.
(h) INCLUSION OF SERVICES Limited to PC's specifically enrolled in MSP+OL (Monthly Service Plan with Optional Unlimited On-Line Remote Support)

(1) Monthly "Full PC Service" Troubleshoot one PC, remove all viruses, spyware, malware, and rootkits on the enrolled PC. Test OS for proper functionality, Ensure performance of system updates, optimized start-up and shutdown, Windows Critical Updates. Test and verify PC hardware and software functionality. Generate a report of services performed and a log of all Viruses and Spyware removed from your PC each month. Normal: $79.00 | MSP: INC.

INITIAL SETUP Includes PC Setup for optimization and your preferences, scheduling monthly service dates and time frame, setup for Windows Critical System Updates, HardDrive Defragmentation, Disk Clean-Up, Removing un-needed Start-up Programs and QuickLaunch Items, and Optionally change internet home page to Guru Search featuring a fully functional google search, live local weather, and Top AP News videos, as well as a shortcut to gurumypc.com for fast navigation to your On-Line support page. Scheduled Dates may vary from time to time but will typically be within 24-48HRS of Scheduled date and time.
